Résumé
The minimal model program has proven to be a powerful way to study the geometry of varieties, and recent years have shown that the insights of the minimal model program can be applied to the study of foliations. I will explain some recent work on the existence of minimal models for foliations, especially in the case
of foliations by curves. Time permitting, we will explain some applications of these ideas to the study of moduli of foliations. Features joint works with P. Cascini and R. Svaldi.
