Résumé
Titre : Heat flow on Riemannian manifolds and curvature
Résumé : The effect of curvature in the propagation of heat on a Riemannian manifold is a classical problem. A quantitative measurement of this behavior is encoded most directly in many functional inequalities. We show that Stochastic Analysis provides natural tools to quantify this effect.
In this talk, we exemplify the interplay of geometry and probability theory on the basis of the validity of Calderón-Zygmund inequalities on complete Riemannian manifolds.
