Bach-flat metrics and regularity theory of conformal structures
Catégorie d'évènement : Séminaire de géométrie différentielle Date/heure : 21 septembre 2026 15:30-16:30 Lieu : Oratrice ou orateur : Andoni Royo Résumé :Bach-flat metrics are a natural generalization of Einstein and self-dual metrics in dimension four and arise as critical points of the Weyl energy.
Such energy is conformally invariant and it is naturally defined for Riemannian metrics of Sobolev class W 2,q with q > 2. In this talk, we will show that Bach- flat metrics of such Sobolev class are indeed smooth up to global conformal diffemorphisms. Furthermore, we will establish regularity properties of metrics whose Bach tensor is controlled in suitable Sobolev spaces, and analogue results in higher dimensions. This is based on joint work with Rodrigo Avalos and Albachiara Cogo.
